The 8002-CC-85 is Carrier Extension Cable. It is suited for connecting the Rs-232 port

of DSM to PC, is protocol dependent, and can only be used for “serial comms.” Another

name for this cable is “Station Manager Cable.” It is one of the cables that can be used

for data collection or programming in communicating with a GEIC PLC/PAC.

By connecting to the RJ-11 faceplate serial port on CPUs 351, 352, and 363, the

IC693CBL316 can be used for monitoring, configuring, firmware updating and

programming purposes.The same applies also to the IC693DSM314 module where

motion programs for the module can be loaded across the PLC backplane.
